How the fee works
One rate per payment. Never 0%.
Moving money costs money, so every payment carries a fee. On every plan it is a single rate, shown before you set a price, with card processing included.
- One rate per successful payment, with card processing included.
- The same rate on deposits, scheduled payments and invoices.
- Payouts to your bank account are included in the rate.
- Fovea covers card dispute fees instead of passing them to you.
- Clients pay the price you set. Fovea does not add a charge on top.

What’s an AI credit?
One credit is about one Ask Fovea request. Paid plans include a monthly allowance, and the proposal adds an optional pack of 500 more credits for $10. You get a notice before you run low, so nothing is billed by surprise.
What counts on the Free plan?
A shoot is a client session booked through Fovea. An active gallery is a client gallery that hasn’t been archived or expired. Exact counting rules will be published with final pricing.

Why isn’t the fee 0%?
Because moving money costs money. The proposed fee covers card processing and payouts, so there’s no separate processing charge on top. Paid plans lower the rate, which matters most for busy studios.
Do I need a subscription to take payments?
No. The Free plan has no subscription at all. You pay the per-payment fee only when a client pays you.
Is the Free plan really free?
There’s no subscription. Fovea earns a per-payment fee when a client pays you, at a higher rate than the paid plans because there’s no monthly price. Free includes 2 shoots a month and 2 active galleries, without the AI assistant.
What is an AI credit?
A unit of Ask Fovea usage. One credit is about one Ask Fovea request. Paid plans include a monthly allowance, and the proposal includes a notice before you run low, so nothing is billed by surprise. Free doesn’t include AI.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. The intent is simple: move up when you’re busy, move down in a quiet season, and keep your galleries and history either way. The exact rules for upgrades, downgrades and yearly billing will be published with final pricing.

They might. Everything on this page is a proposal. If you join early access, we’ll tell you the final prices before you’re asked to pay for any plan.
